Eleven is a magical age. It's the year when students receive invitations to Hogwarts Academy! Our wise Librarian, Mrs. Larson, is here to help our little witches and wizards begin their journey at Hogwarts. During the month of their eleventh birthday, students will try on our mystical hat and be sorted into school houses. Summer birthday? Fear not! Students who have a summer birthday will be sorted in May. Which house will it be? The Sorting Hat knows where you belong.

If you missed out on the debut of our September Song Of The Month, you will want to catch it before the month is over. Students are singing This Is Me from The Greatest Showman. Ms. Jones and Ms. King have done an amazing job choosing a song that is meaningful and relevant. The lyrics encourage kids to be proud of who they are, a message that resonates with all of us. I stopped into music this week to catch a behind the scenes peek. What a wonderful class! We are lucky to have this power team growing our students. This Is Me (Lyrics)THIS IS ME
from The Greatest Showmen I am not a stranger to the dark Hide away, they say 'Cause we don't want your broken parts I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars Run away, they say No one'll love you as you are But, I won't let them break me down to dust I know that there's a place for us For we are glorious When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I'm meant to be, this is me Look out 'cause here I come And I'm marching on to the beat I drum I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh This is me! |
